As of 17 March 2020, and until further notice, all international travel of Swedish Red Cross staff anywhere in the world for any reason must have the formal approval of the International Director.
If you plan to travel from Sweden, please immediately contact the Head of Regional Unit for the country you are travelling to.
If you are planning to travel to Sweden, or to your home base (the country where you usually live when you are not working for Swedish RC), please immediately contact the Head of Regional Unit for the country you are travelling from.
You will need to fill out a TRA (Travel Risk Assessment) form. This requirement might be waived in acutely urgent cases, but we will in any case need to document the approval to travel and make sure we have the very important information we need to allow travel to go ahead.
You send the TRA directly to the relevant Head of Regional Unit. It will then follow this process as quickly as possible:
You are also reminded that even when you have approval to travel, if you develop symptoms that may be suspected of being covid-19, you must contact the Head of Regional Unit before boarding a plane.
If you have any questions, contact the Head of Regional Unit or the International Security Advisor.
